La Chaîne offers the opportunity for gastronomes to meet people who share a common interest in fine dining and good fellowship. For our professional restaurateurs and hoteliers, it offers opportunities to demonstrate their exceptional skills and creativity to a discerning, appreciative audience.

At our Vancouver Bailliage, when sponsored by a member, the candidate is required to attend a minimum of 2 Chaîne functions before an application is given for acceptance into the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. Priority to attend events is always given to current members.

Membership applications are reviewed by the membership committee who make the final decision on admissions. There is often a wait list, however local gastronomes are encouraged to apply if interested in fine food, wine and camaraderie.

The official induction of new members is done once a year, usually in October or November. see Events
